GBN Services has added to its growing vehicle fleet as part of an investment worth over £1M.

The upgrade will prepare GBN for London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) coming into force next year, whilst helping to reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

Some of the new arrivals include three Artic units; two Roll on offs; one 8×4 Dustcart; two Skip Loaders and two 8×4 Tippers. The vehicles are now fully operational and have been assigned across GBN’s Rochford, Edmonton, Uxbridge and Leyton depots.

Commenting on the fleet renewal, Alan Barber Group Health & Safety Manager at GBN Services, said: “In this day and age, London legislation is always changing, carbon footprints need improving, road safety towards VRUs needs improving and GBN Services Ltd want to be at the forefront when and where we can, making London a cleaner and safer place to live and work for all.”

He continued: “The investment will benefit GBN going forward by helping us comply with legislation changes and reduce emissions created by our activities,” adding that the vehicles are fitted with the latest VRU safety equipment for extra security on the road.

GBN’s portfolio now comprises 170 LGVs and 30 support cars/vans to keep up with customer demand across London and the South East.
